136948 XML to mysql - Large file

We have a rather large 260MB XML file that needs to be converted to mysql. The complexity of the problem lies with the XML file itself. It contains words and their definitions, their category and other bits but we are only interested in extracting certain parts of each element (item). I would assume the best suited programmer for this project would be one who has done many of these before and has an excellent background in XML. We want a mysql db at the end of the project which has the neccessary extractions. I have attached a small portion of the file for your viewing.
