Create a freemail service with a webmail interface using open source code. We expect to use Roundcube for the code, but will consider others if you prefer. Code will be modified to: 1. Enable a challenge and response feature for a "Buddy System". New emails require physical confirmation from sender before delivered to inbox. (Similar to Surgemail and Spamarrest.) 2. Add a self destruct email function. (Similar to Bigstring) ## Deliverables Create a free email service with a webmail interface on a l.a.m.p server (must be able to handle everything regarding server related issues, including: domain name dns, configuring the server to run optimally etc.. . Design will be similar to major free webmail services, yahoo mail,gmail, etc... We figure we should use Roundcube for the free open source code. If you have a preference for another open source code to use instead, please send us a link to review it. Modify source code to add these features: Buddy system - When an email is sent to one of our email accounts, two things happen simultaneously: the email goes to the account holder's junk mail and a confirmation email goes to the email sender. The confirmation email will explain that the email has gone to junk mail until/unless they verify that they are an actual person by clicking the confirmation link. If they click the confirmation link, then the email is moved from junk mail to the inbox. We also need to be able to add known domains to the safe sender list on our side (for example ebay, amazon etc..) as these are not junk but are usually automated emails that cannot go through the confirmation process. This function is similar to processes available in Surgemail and Spamarrest. Self destruct email function. Our account holder sends email as usual. After an email is sent, the user can opt to "self destruct" the content of the email. The user goes to their 'sent' mailbox. The user selects the email or emails by checking the box next to it and clicks the button for 'self destruct' at the bottom of the page (next to the other standard function buttons like 'delete'). The email content is destroyed immediately, regardless of whether the recipient has read it. To see this in action, visit Bigstring.com. We will pick a up a new server from godaddy specifically for this project, the server will need to be set up and optimized for this project. This bid is for initial construction of the project as stated above. We need a solid company that is available to work long term on adding new features, as well as site and server maintenance.
