Install new Moodle and Import from old Moodle all Data

Hi As you can see from my feedbacks I am probably the only moodle independent expert on the site with more than 15 years moodle experience and a lot moodle related projects already completed. I am a core code contributor and I have a couple of plugins already submitted to moodle plugin list. It looks to me you are looking for a moodle upgrade as only backing up and restoring old moodle courses into new moodle may not be compatible and you will probably lose users and others. Greetings from Lindau, What is your old Moodle version? I'm afraid it doesn't work as the way you want. You want to install a fresh and clean Moodle and import all Data from the Old Moodle. Ex: if your old Moodle version is 3.8 and the latest Moodle is 4.2. Moodle doesn't support the fresh 4.2 to import data from 3.8. The correct Moodle way is to upgrade Moodle step by step: From 3.8 to 3.9 Then 3.9 to 3.10 3.10 to 3.11 3.11 to 4.2. Note: Moodle 4 requires PHP8. If your webserver is an Ubuntu 16 or 18, it requires to upgrade your Ubuntu too to install PHP8. I have successfully done a lot of Moodle upgrade tasks. Please contact me.
