■Gathering information on recent hostage-taking negotiations for 2006-2008 (89 cases) ・I have a list of dataset hostage-taking negotiations for 3 years. The mission of this project is to collect detailed information or records of web information of the 89 cases. ・Main information I need are: The start of the date of the negotiation (in many cases, already written in the Excel sheet) Demands of terrorists (ransom or release of prisoners?) Deadline of terrorists If it is extended or passed, when are the 2nd/3rd deadlines? What are the modified demands? Agreed payment Released prisoners The end result (hostage was killed? Agreed with payment?) The end date of the negotiation I attach the excel sheet, which is a list of incidents and summary of information I need, but you do NOT have to fill in. The mission is to collect web information. ・In each incident, you can know some description by checking TEXT 2006,2007,2008. Also, you can know each meaning of the code by codebook. These might help you identify the web information with the incident in the list. ・The available information highly likely depends on each incident. On average, two or three main sources, which included the information above, are ideal. ・I’d like you to clip the web information by some web clipping tool, such as Evernote web clipper [login to view URL] ・Then, put every information in order of incidents(1-89) in PDF forms. ・Please search 15 min. per each incident at maximum. Then, 22 hours in total. So, this project is expected to complete approximately in 2 weeks.
