Looking for a Vacation-Homes/Hotel/Resort Operations Specialist with a Focus on Digital Integration and SOP Development
Project: Digital Transformation Phase 1, My Room Holiday Homes Rental
Duration & Compensation: This is a temporary, hourly-paid position in USD for a period of 2-4 months. Payments will be disbursed bi-weekly based on milestone completions.
Objective:
The Vacation-Homes/Hotel/Resort Operations Specialist role is pivotal in leading the
operational excellence and digital transformation at My Room Holiday Homes
Rental. This position is designed to enhance guest experiences significantly,
streamline operations, and integrate cutting-edge digital solutions, including ERP
systems like Odoo. The ideal candidate will possess vast experience in hotel or
resort operations management, a deep understanding of the latest hospitality
technology trends, digital marketing, regulatory compliance, and the capacity to
spearhead data-driven operational enhancements.
Key Responsibilities:
● Operational Analysis & Integration: Conduct thorough analysis of existing
operational processes to identify areas for efficiency improvement and digital
integration, focusing on guest satisfaction and operational excellence.
● Digital Transformation Leadership: Serve as the main liaison between the My
Room Holiday Homes Rental team, Odoo partners, and external stakeholders
(e.g., DTCM, SIRA, Dubai Police) to ensure the seamless incorporation of
operational requirements into the ERP system.
● Digital Tools Implementation: Implement digital tools and processes across
all operational departments (front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, etc.),
using ERP capabilities to optimize workflow and improve guest experiences.
● Contract Standardization & Compliance: Lead the development and
standardization of all operational contracts, ensuring compliance with VAT,
tax, and local regulations, and accurate ERP system reporting.
● Training & Development: Coordinate comprehensive training programs for
staff on new digital tools and processes, focusing on data entry accuracy and
ERP system utilization for operational excellence.
● Operational Performance Monitoring: Monitor and adjust digital
transformation strategies based on their impact on operational performance
to meet project goals and improve guest satisfaction.
● Sales & Marketing Collaboration: Work closely with the Sales and Marketing
Specialist to ensure operational capabilities and innovations are effectively
promoted.
● Data Management: Oversee the creation and maintenance of a centralized
database for all operational data, ensuring integrity and accessibility for
decision-making and compliance.
Additional Key Responsibilities:
● SOP Development: Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for
operations, housekeeping, room service, check-in & check-out processes,
keyless door operation, maintenance, furnishing, procurement, pest control,
customer complaint automation (via ticketing), concierge services, dress
code, and conduct codes.
● Compliance and Training: Ensure adherence to DTCM, SIRA, guest rights
compliance, and train staff accordingly to uphold the highest standards of
service and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications:
● Experience: Proven track record in managing hotel or resort operations,
preferably with experience in vacation home rentals, hotels, hotel-apartments,
or resorts, both locally and internationally.
● Knowledge: In-depth understanding of current trends in hospitality, including
digital marketing, artificial intelligence integration, and operational efficiency
enhancements.
● Technical Skills: Experience with ERP systems, especially Odoo, and an
understanding of how digital tools can transform operational efficiency and
guest experiences.
● Communication: Exceptional communication skills, fluency in English, and the
ability to work effectively across diverse teams and with external partners.
● Leadership: Demonstrated capability to lead operational improvements,
manage complex projects, and drive new technology adoption within the
hospitality sector.
This is an on-site local job for 8 hours a day, 6 days a week. Location: Al Khail Heights, Al Qouz 4, Dubai, UAE. The candidates should have their own or process their own residence permits.
