RFID/NFC Reader to record employee attendance and post the data to an online mysql server

1) Advice on which RFID/NFC reader/ card/ sdk can be used to make a basic students attendance recording function from a RFID/NFC reader. JAVA/PHP/C development based on it. The card need to store a customized student number. 2) The system is very simple: Just display the card identification code and the time each time a card is 'tapped' on the reader. And the data is uploaded to an online mysql database every 15min. The following database structure is an example: ID(int auto_increment) student_no(int) time(datetime) 3) Also advice on how many traffic it can stand based on this system. As you can see, this is only the phase 1 of the project. If it is done great more budget will be allowed and go on to work for the latter phase.
