Hi I can look for the issues. Most probably it will be one of two reasons - server issues (sendmail or the server's component as you guessed) - drupal configuration (if their site's mail sending was customized) To solve this will need step by step analysis 1- check drupal configurations 2- check sending email outside drupal through custom 3- check server configurations I can try fixing it for you.
