Add Search Functions to www.PrimeHolidayRentals.com to Display Property Adverts on Lists and Maps(repost)

The basic website template is complete (see [[login to view URL]][1]) and currently lists adverts from the [[login to view URL]][2] database. It uses parser text files to select adverts from the database and display them in standard grid view format and on Google Maps. The filters and controls need adapting so users can refine their search and filter results by Location, Town, Category or Ad Reference. The search results will then be displayed on both list and maps. The filters and controls need to be created so the site can be copied and easily edited by someone with limited programming skills. The objective is to create other niche websites based on subsets of the database, based on specific Categories and Ad Types, for Example Sailing, Golf, Property Sales, etc. ## Deliverables [login to view URL] should work as follows: ? 1.1 The Home Page already has a map and drop down list of countries. Selecting a country from either takes users to the search page for that country. Selecting Worldwide take users to the [login to view URL] page with ads from all countries. At present only Portugal has been added, but once complete, I should be able to copy the folder for Portugal and create additional countries as needed. The [login to view URL] page will have a list of all locations in the database (see <[login to view URL]>). The [login to view URL] page for each country will only have a subset of the locations for that country. Users will also be able to search on the following fields: Town, Category and Ad Id. The Category search dropdown list should be populated with the subset of categories I have selected for each website. In the case of [login to view URL] it would be all the sub-categories of “Holiday Property ??" Sales and Rentals??. 1.2 At a global site level, all pages would be further filtered by “Type??. For PrimeHolidayRentals this would just be “For Rent??, but for other sites I might need to filter on several Types. 1.3 Performance is important. All searches should be completed within 4 seconds. With this in mind a maximum of 1,000 ads only should be displayed at any one time. 1.4 Featured ads should appear before Normal ads and both sets of ads should be in random order, as they do on Villa Leisure (see for example <[login to view URL]>). ? 1.5 On both the [login to view URL] page and the country [login to view URL] page both Google Maps and Grid View search needs to display the same search results. 1.6 At present, when you click on “Map View?? or the town name on an ad in the Grid, it opens a map in a new window showing the ads location. This needs to be changed so the info window on the Google Map in the frame on the right opens instead. If the user does the same on another ad, then the first info window should close and the new one open.
