TCP listener for GPS GPRS

Dear employer, I have worked 6 years for an UK Map Company called Anquet Technology Ltd. (anquet,com) where I have developed all the interfaces for GPS units. I have at home 6 different GPS units whose protocol I know very well (Garmin and Magellan proprietary or NMEA). I also know the TCP / IP protocol as used in Socket Programming with C#. At the end of [login to view URL] is written "prefer use Entity Firework 5 for connect to sql server database", is it not "Entity Framework 5" ? This last one I know very well. I've worked a lot in C# and I have worked with databases (MySQL, MS-SQL etc) and GPS, trackers etc. I've already built multi-threaded TCP/IP server applications using sockets for listening on certain ports and communicating with multiple clients for data exchange. I have vast experience with large WPF solutions incorporating WCF Services, Entity Framework and interacting with third party softwares as well as other programming languages, such as Java, VB6, VB.NET, Python, F#, COBOL,Pascal, C++. I've developed for several RDBMS, e.g. Microsoft SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Firebird, SQLite and MS Access. I have worked in several business domains including pharmaceutical goods distribution, small and medium retails companies and other smaller enterprises. I already have this TCP/IP interface in java working for a server, even sending messages to devices. Right now it implements three different protocols for GPS devices installed on vehicles and I can easily implement the one you need. It would only be a matter of creating the UI that you need and wrap things up. I just saw the change on the project description and noticed that you'd like to use Entity Framework. I'm assuming that you want the UI on C# too (WPF). Let me know if that's the case to adjust my bid accordingly. The bid I created is for a Java project with UI in Java. But I can easily create it for C# as well.

According to me you want a server which can connect multiple devices in network with TCP/IP protocol, receive the information from each device and insert into database. Hi, I am pretty sure i can do it, as i have 7+ years experience with c# as fulltime desktop developer. I have been working with communivcation protocols, mainly for healthcare labs, but other custom software too. The real costs are totally unknown to me, as long as your description doesn't tell me how much work has exactly to be done, and how fast? I can work up to 2 hrs/day ad 10Eur/hr rate, but for this, you have to change your project type. Freelancer has an application to measure the time spent on the project, so it's pretty fair to work on per/hour base. If you need more than 2 hours/day, the price increases, 15eur if between 2-4 hrs/day (this means max. 60 eur/day), or 25 euro/hrs if 4-6hrs/day.(this means max. 150 euro/day). More work than this i cannot accept, because my performace drops, and it is simply useless to spend more time on the project However, if you don't like it, we can negotiate, I presume it will be a 10-15 hrs job, can be done in 1 week, and that would be 150 euro.
