Build a Chat Module for my APP

Functional Specification – Chat Module Objective This document is meant to be the main guideline on the Chat Module development Features requirements The Chat Module must have the following features (based on Whatsapp): - Group and individual text messaging - Group and individual audio messaging - Group and individual audio calls - Group and individual video calls - Group and individual files attachment - Open camera to take, confirm, and send pictures and videos - Emojis - Customizable profile picture - Customizable group naming and picture - Groups must have an administrator able to change the group name, picture, add/remove users and delete the group - Users must be able to leave groups - Customizable status messages (only text/emojis) - Online status/last seen online - Push notifications for received messages - Sending/Sent/ Visualized messages notification on screen - Contact search - List of all previous conversations, ordered by the latest ones - List of all previous calls (audio or video), ordered by the latest ones in a different tab - Customizable settings for notifications like turn on/off, choose sounds, vibration, etc (general and contact/group specific) in a different tab Technology requirements The Chat Module must be developed using Ionic Framework 5, AngularJS 10 and PHP 7, for integration purposes. The connection must be done only between internal users using their user ID from the database. No need to add contacts, the full list of users should be available with a search option. No external access. All conversations and group administrator actions must be stored on database for logging purposes with at least these fields: user ID from, user ID to, type (text, audio, file, group administrator action, etc), message (in case of text or group administrator action), file path (in case of audio message or file attachment), and timestamp of the transaction. All files sent must be stored in a user-specific folder within the server (/chatfiles/{sender user ID}) using a unique name whose path will be stored on database. Design requirements Should follow the Whatsapp design, the frontend code must be clean for our development team to adapt if necessary. Database requirements MySQL language. Table users provides the fields user ID, First Name and Last Name. The following tables (or similar ones) should be created: - chat_profiles: bind to user ID, stores the profile picture path, current Status Message, Online/Last seen online status, and all the personal settings for each user - chat_log: the entire log for the transactions on the chat as specified in “Technology requirements” - chat_groups: stores group names, pictures paths, administrator user ID, members user ID *Further necessary technical details will be provided after approval for the job, unless any information is crucial to determine pricing and deadline.
