I have developed an iOS app named MuPsych for my PhD at Monash University, and am looking to get a quote for an Android version. The iOS app is a music player that collects data on how music influences the emotions of the listener (see [login to view URL]). However, for the Android version, instead of a music player, I would like the app to just run in the background, and pop up whenever the user listens to music on their device (if you are able to do this). I have attached an overview of what will be required in the app. Many of the required files and data used for the iOS development will be available for you to use.
