Hi everyone,My project is as I suggested above it's "Student Portal". In this project STUDENT ATTENDANCE SYSTEM,NEWS BROADCAST,ONLINE TEST(temporary & actual). here, NEWS BROADCAST involves all the events that are arranged will be available in our website and student can access it via their mobile(WiFi-enabled or internet enabled) or laptop(WiFi-enabled or internet enabled) as we are broadcasting our website through WiFi so student can access it [login to view URL],STUDENT ATTENDANCE involves teacher takes attendance in class room by clicking check box in front of name of student who is [login to view URL] teacher has authority to take attendance because all teachers are given an id and password for their individual subject,so they can enter in ATTENDANCE [login to view URL] third part is ONLINE TEST,here actual test any student can give it does not require id and password,they can give it via WiFi mobile also but for actual test which is going to add in mark sheet,for this an id and password will be given to student and it will be taken in classroom in watch of teacher.i used AJAX for fast working of transaction and addition in [login to view URL] GUI s very attractive and user friendly,I have used XMLRPC which is very near to the hardware and so works very fast.I have use APACHE tomcat web server for broadcasting my [login to view URL] is very good if u use it in school,institute or any teaching area,so student will feel like they are learning in new technology area.

Hello, I have experience of 11 years. I have worked on portal before. I have experience in Java, C++. Have developed many projects for apache tomcat server. As per my understanding following things will be required. 1) Student Attendance System - So manual entry will be made per student. Or do you have any card reader and so the student attendance system should access data of the card reader. 2) News Broadcast - We will display a news section in right side of the portal. 3) Online Test - In this one should have admin rights to add new questions, the options and also facility to add new test. A student with username and password should be allowed to have a particular test. Few tests will be free to all students. In this section adding subjects, divisions, standards should be considered. You have mentioned about the marks. So we need to maintain marks per student. Do let me know when to start. I am from Pune. And let's have a discussion.
