My project is fracture analysis of the robotic arm (cantilever beam made of aluminium) under impact loading. Rate-dependent fracture has been extensively studied using the cohesive zone model (CZMs). My work needs a mixed-mode rate-dependent CZM that combines the features of the Park-Paulino-Roesler (PPR) cohesive model and a fractional viscoelastic model to derive a rate-dependent mixed-mode CZM. The robotic arm is modeled using Cohesive Zone Modelling (CZM) using ABAQUS software. The aims to study the behavior of cohesive zone interface using ABAQUS for the aluminum element under impact loading. In this work, we incorporate damage in the cohesive element under impact loading and crack propagation are studied under impact loading with the help of user-defined UEL subroutine for symmetrical surface.

I have experience of both subroutine writing in abaqus and cohesive zone modeling. My current PhD project is writing UMAT subroutine in Abaqus for crystal plasticity modeling (already published in scientific journal: [login to view URL]). My master project was about cohesive zone modeling of copper rubber interface (Also published: [login to view URL]). Therefore, I am 100% sure that I am the only qualified person for this project.
