I have a strong technical background with over 4 years working in the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology at 24. My recent projects are about nanomaterials such as graphene, nano silica, aerogel, etc... I also have massive connections, from PhDs all over the North of Vietnam to several institutes in Korea, US and France.

I have worked with dozens of start up, novel projects. One of those projects was developing a "plastic" type bag which was biodegradable. We were successful in developing a bag with a tapioca base. We went through several iterations, with the biggest challenge being the product degraded too fast. Although, I felt we were very close to a viable product, my client decided to choose another route. I am a manufacturer at heart, and it has always been my specialty. I have worked with bamboo and ratan in the past. While hemp has similar hollow properties, I don't think making hemp straws by using their hollow properties would be very cost effective, and yield would be low. Instead, pulverizing the hemp and adding the kenaf as the biodegradable binder would allow you extrude the straws very efficiently. You could also use a food based ink to print company names or logos on the straws. I also happen to have 25 years experience working in Mexico (I live in San Diego and would drive to work daily. If the process is successful, and Mexican customs would allow hemp to be imported, the overall manufacturing cost could be substantially lower than originally anticipated.
