Database for restaurant that includes the dishes and their components, the sales and purchases.
Components are purchased: We enter the supplier name (unique record number) date, item name (each item has an unique number), qty, purchase price.
Dishes (or drinks) are prepared and we enter the "technological record" of each dish (each dish has an unique number): List of components with the weight of each one. The cost is then calculated; we also enter the retail price.
Sales are entered manually every day or so: date, unique number, qty, discount rate if any. The software calculates the remaining balance of each of the components.
When the purchase price of a component changes, an average price is calculated to be used.
For each item, qty can be in units, liter, kilo, etc. The cost of the item matches with the unit used.
Software must show:
Multi-search functions (By date/interval of purchase/sale, supplier, number, name, etc)
Live remaining stock of each component.
By day or/and interval of days, the sales with the cost and retail price, so to calculate the [login to view URL] also show the total of discounts granted for this day/period.
Details will be discussed with the selected Person.
ALL must be modifiable. for example the user must be able to add a unit category (liter, kilo, etc)
Multi-level acess control with authorizations rules to access the software functions.
It must be easy to save the database in common formats (CSV etc), then to import it into another computer.
The software must be in Delphi or C++. and work under Windows, graphical interface.
It seems to be a big project but it is an usual database management software :)
