We are DiscountHour, Japanese online startup in new form of online advertising and social comeerce. The DiscountHour is hiring an editor / copywriter to help with the content creation process for our daily deals in Japanese. We love great writing and word play (clever turns of phrase tickle us pink!), and think the most exciting stuff to read online is full of energy and wit. Agree? Then keep reading:
Job Responsibilities:
* Write and edit copy for our daily deals;
* Write up to 5 snazzy deal descriptions each day;
* Proofread, proofread, proofread (!!!) everything from daily deals to marketing collateral;
* Coordinate with operations team to ensure timely and quality deliverables;
* Help shape DiscountHour’s unique voice and product;
* Wear a variety of hats when needed to help us create one heck of dynamic product.
Requirements:
* Copywriting / editorial experience in Japanese;
* Solid clips to show your copywrting and editorial prowess;
* A deft editorial eye, i.e. the ability to make bad writing dazzle;
* Clever sense of humor;
* The ability to act and adapt quickly;
* Mad attention to detail;
* A born communicator, on and off the page;
* A strong desire to be a part of something new, exciting, and super fast-paced.

Customer Care Consultant - Japanese
Japanese online startup, DiscountHour has a tremendous opportunity for a Customer Care Consultant to join its rapidly growing DiscountHour Deals business in Japan. The Discounthour Daily Deals platform will be the hottest new form of online advertising in Japan. We have aggressive plans to expand both within the Japan and internationally.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Answer incoming telephone calls and emails in a timely and professional manner
* Assist customers with transaction inquiries
* Address customer concerns in a manner that ensures customer satisfaction
* Research and troubleshoot customer related service issues
* Proficient in multi-tasking all areas of job responsibilities as defined by management
* Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential
Job Requirements:
* 1+ years of call center or help desk experience in Japanese is preferred
* Excellent written and verbal skills in Japanese - able to articulate clearly and concisely
* Self motivated, responsible, dependable and prompt individual with excellent attendance
* Solid organizational, administrative, time management and keen sense of attention to detail
* Solid understanding of social networks such as Facebook, twitter, and the blogosphere
* Strong problem-solving skills
