The task I want to contract is to configure in Visual Studio Code in Linux on Raspberry Pi4, build, make running and possibly optimize performance-wise my existing C++ project. My project is a mature C++ code that works currently on a bare-metal DSP platform without a multithreading OS. It has been however fully refactored recently to an architecture that allows to run separate DSP processing components in paralel so that it should fit the multithreading Linux system on a multicore HW platform. The preferred contractor is not a company but an individual who is flexible and versatile and has strong experience in embedded programming, especially in the following areas: - RPi3/4 C/C++ programming, - low-level Linux knowledge, preferably some driver development experience, - nice to have would be networking programming, ALSA and ARM processor and optionally peripherals performance optimization knowledge In order to respect the time of both you as contractor and myself I would like to ask for answers to a few key questions based on which I would like to follow-up with personal chat. Can you please shortly describe your: 1) Developer experience/projects completed in low-level Linux system programming (areas like drivers, efficient inter-process communication - signals, semaphores, shared memory data, etc) 2) Experience in real-time continouous I/O handling (audio, video) and other HW peripherals and interfaces programming experience 3) Experience in performance monitoring and optimization using multicore ARM capabilities and possibly Neon processing extensions Generally I would like to preferrably establish with this project a longer-time, regular develpoment cooperation. I have 30 years' experience in Linux kernel porting and device driver development (I2C, SPI, UART, USB, Flash, MAC, FPGA). I have had experience with multiple SOC families (STM32, Xilinx, TI, NXP, iMX). I have experience with multiple members of the Raspberry PI family, as well as many of the clones. I have worked on projects involving networking (including firmware for network switches) and have worked with ALSA to work around the playback limitations of a specific piece of hardware. My strengths are in board bring-up environments. This involves writing new and customizing existing device drivers, porting for specific board characteristics and customizing boot operations. I have experience with multiple IPC solutions using primarily the QT and Boost implementations (with a few custom implementations as well). Real time audio experience includes handling the interface with a DSP to process audio and the mixing of audio of different bit rates and frequencies for playback at a fixed clock rate. I have recently been working with device drivers for a set of PCIe devices (FPGAs providing additional SPI and I2C controllers to the host processor). A particularly interesting project involved adding SPI slave support to a Linux device driver. Please contact me for discussion of the details. I can even put together a few questions to ensure that we are fully in sync with what is needed. We can discuss my potential for this project and can customize the bid as needed.

Hello there. I have good experience with linux embedded programming. Using visual studio and visual gdb can easily compile and debug for linux program. And I have good experience with raspberry pi3/4(arm-linux-gcc cross toolchain). And can customize linux kernel and drivers. And have experience with ALSA (before i worked with AK5538 audio codec on raspberry). Hope more discuss with you. Regards.

Most recently I developed IPC app which transfer video frames to another process using semaphores and shared memory. I have been working with ARM processor with HiSilicon chip.
