We can practice music reading (Rhythm, spoken notes and singed notes) ear training, singing melodies (singed notes) and even music dictation (copying music). I have teached and conducted an orchestra in a foundation in my country. I teached about music reading and a little of music History there. I will tell you my screts about music theory and how to memorize the sound of the notes in your head. I think 40 hours per week is too much, it's like 5 and a half hours per day (It's A LOT OF information by class). 2 hours by class is time enough to grab, understand and hold the information.
