The goal is to count the number of news articles containing specific word pairs for 109 U.S. regional newspapers at a daily frequency. The underlying data is hosted on this website [login to view URL] The freelancer should record the number of articles mentioning (1) "Climate Change" (2) "Global Warming" at a daily frequency. The final output will be a separate csv file for each newspaper, with three columns: Date, Mentions of "Global Warming", Mentions of "Climate Change." The earliest data available for each newspaper is indicated on the site linked above. One possible way to do it is exploiting the information in the html address. The freelancer easily changes the search phrase and the time period from the address. (e.g. [login to view URL]) However, any method to achieve the same goal is welcome.
