Looking for an experience vb.net dev to join our team of professionals working in FMCG industry. We move a lot of data between systems (SAP, bespoke apps, web services, suppliers, csv, xml) with many apps that transform the data before being uploaded. We also have a number of web services facing high demand customer facing end points which have changing requirements and maintenance. We operate 24/7 to support our suppliers/customers and our systems need to be up and available at all times, although ALL coding and design is done during business hours. Releases must be thoroughly tested prior to publication or you may need to work late!!! We use git repository to mange code and all code is written in vb.net framework 4.8 and [login to view URL] 2.0 libraries. We have no plans to migrate to other languages although use of C# is not a problem in libraries or new modules. We have not plans to introduce Java, delphi, cobolt or any other language of any sort - please don't apply if you want to code in something other than .net and we only use Visual Studio and SQL Server (again NO plans to ever change this!!!). We also use the Devexpress tool set (latest version) for winforms apps, dashboard and few other apps - experience with DevExpress highly regarded but not essential. We have regular ongoing work for the right person. Working remotely is ok too.
