We are seeking server administrator for Amazon Computer Cloud Service EC2. Instances will be created and administered through [login to view URL] (single user level), you will of course have Root to Server, unless otherwise discussed. We run OS Linux CentOS 5, Apache server, MySQL server, PHP server 5, postfix mail, Firewall, security groups, etc will be under your control. We will be running eCommerce through the sites, so security is important.
We expect proficiency skills in AWS setup (EC2, S3, Route 54, etc), administration, hardening, security testing and management of the service as well as all described server environment. You will be responsible for all server service functions, testing, health and monitoring. Any servers software you require, WE will purchase, if the price is reasonable. We currently have a Virtualmin Pro License to allow us to add users, check logs, basci server admin, etc.
We do not expect this to be your full time job or on-call 24/7, but we expect you are available for service monitoring and administration in short notice. Later, this can become your full time job. We are a medium size company going through reorganizing and seeking new EXPERIENCED talent. We are not seeking the cheapest solution, but the experienced solution.
Payment can be made in six month increments, to allow you to be secure in the job. Please bid accordingly, ie. Don't bid $100... as it's not likely you will do six months of work for $100.
