I am summarizing what I understand from the project requirement is as follows: - Need to check some services that are running or not. - Looks like those services are running at Linux machines , which are part of Hadoop. - Script should be interactive(might be you want to specify Host/services ) before execution. My plan is as follows: - will develop the script using powershell. - may required sshclient (ex: putty/plink) to connect to the Linux machine. - The output can be captured in script console and/or can be captured in csv file. - can be schedule using windows scheduler. - can be sent via mail, if SMTP configured.
