Call a local windows API\COM Object from Webpage

My software creates UPS, FedEx, USPS shipping labels and is a MS Windows based application that is installed on a windows workstations. My application has API/COM objects registered locally on each workstation. I need to call my API/COM EXE from a web page (internet explorer) that a user has up on there local workstation and if the API is registered locally . Call my my API/COM and it will pop-up and allow the user to ship an order and return a string to you. Your job will be to create an interface using your web language of choice to call my windows API and my API will return a string to you. You don't have to do anything with the string except show me that it's stored in a variable when returned. Provide a sample for others that want to call my API from a web page. Steps required by you: 1. Create an instance of my API 2. Call the function FRT_HEADER() with appropriate parameters (ship-to address) provided in our API document. 3. Call the FRT_TRANS() function with appropriate parameters (Line items to ship) 4. Call the FRT_COMMT() function which tells our API to process the shipment 5. Wait and receive the returned value from the API and store into a variable. Provide me with a working sample and a page of documentation on how to use your code.
