WordPress Ecommerce Store for our Custom Digital products

We would like to sell customizable versions of digital assets and intellectual property using Wordpress or some other full service ecommerce platform. The goal is for customers to select certain options and purchase subsets of our master data files. Some data would be one time purchases, other data could be delivered or downloaded monthly. *********** Brief overview *********** I am the Chairman of [login to view URL], we built a platform for hedge fund managers and quantitative analyst that want customized research data or trading systems. To facilitate the needs of our clients we collect, process, and store loads of different data. One project required us to build systems that identify key people at investment firms and collect and verify contact information. Currently it has 13,000 decision makers at various hedge funds and investment banks. These are very valuable data sets for people looking to start their own investment firms and looking for capital and what not, we can use the database to find people at specific firms, in specific locations, and many other criteria the customer should be able to select. Once they've set this criteria, my thought was to have the app create a subset of the master data set excel and allow the user to pay and download that specific file. They could pay one time for the list, or subscribe to a monthly plan that would send an updated file specific to their parameters every month. We are always adding new data sources, verifying information, etc, so the master list in this particular case is always changing. do give me your thoughts and we can see whether its worth discussing further. We have an in house dev team but I'd like to get something basic that works and looks good, with real data to see if its viable before rolling it into our product offerings. This would be a good looking working prototype basically. We already sell research data to the top hedge funds through our API. This is more intended to see whether we have data sets that can reach a large audience at a lower price point. ********************** 1.
