I have been working with GPS systems for 6 years, so I have working Javascript code for this already. The location is returned as a latitude, and longitude, a web service request to Google's gelocation service could be added to return the street address, but that would require a Google API key in the script. A simple link to Google or OpenStreetMaps could also be created from the coordinates, or a web request to fetch a map could be added. In most cases, the user will be prompted to allow their location to be shared, there is not much that can be done about that that is the way browsers work. Another 'gotcha' is on desktops connected to the web via an ISP the location of the ISP's head end is returned for the location information. The location can also be found by looking up the user's IP address using a web service request to ip2location or similar service, but they charge for that. A bit of code would need to be added so the server can log the user's location. Regards, John
