Need some help with Java Spring calling SOAP API from REST API

I have to setup a Java-Spring based API that acts as a proxy to call a SOAP api. I've followed some tutorials and got the SOAP api imported into my project, but need some help with the proxy that will call the SOAP api. Use case: Client system will invoke my Java REST API, pass an ID parameter to retrieve data, and my API will then invoke the SOAP api and pass the parameter. On response, I will simply send the same response back to the client API.
