Although I am in agreement with the others, that placement is not guaranteed - I have had good success with being listed in Google, AOL, Yahoo, MSN, and Lycos

btw, if your website not visible at all on SERP, just be careful.. maybe on banned status. This is often because of some naughty SEO using some ilegal techniques to manipulate SE algorithm. I have experience how to un-banned.. see my portfolio on my personal info.

Google and other search engines does not guarantee indexing and neither can any SEO expert. The best thing to do is insert several robot specific meta tags to attract the spider to come to your site more often and wait. I can do this for you.
