When you say you have the project "partially completed" what are you trying to say? hardware completed? schematic details? I can give you recommendations on how to interface the usb to pc communication channel based on the final application, a commonly used approach is to setup the device as a serial com instead of a usb drive (based on bandwidth required as well).
