Hi! I am a professional Moodle developer working every day with it developing plugins, web services, and tools. I work also on their Mobile app customization and enhancement (for my contractor only). I can achieve your goals in a less time and provide you with testable versions every step through Ionic platform. You mentioned the ([login to view URL]) repository in your post but I think you meant the newer version ([login to view URL]) of their Mobile app because this one is abandoned. Anyway, I will be glad to work with you on your application if it's based on the newer version one. Else I can't guarantee the results because the first one is based on PhoneGap and has a different structure in code and It will take few days to get familiar with it.
