WPF calendar Dragging to resize appointment

If I understand your problem correctly, you essentially want to be able to alter the duration of the appointments in your calendar by using a drag feature. So if a specific appointment is dragged down you want this drag to be reflected visually and also change the properties of the appointment in the database. I think I am your guy for this problem.
