After a gap year abroad working in the UK and travelling 15 European countries, from Iceland to Southern Spain, I am ready for a new challenge - combining my love of travelling and writing to produce high-quality, inspirational articles for your blog, drawn from my own unique travelling experiences. I have written and published poetry for several years (Young Australian Art and Writers' Awards) and the literature I usually write involves global or social themes, focusing on elucidating social and cultural issues.
I believe I can provide travel tips from a new and fresh perspective - I travelled on a very tight budget and occasionally didn't book accommodation, once sleeping on a beach in Santorini, Greece because I didn't have a place at a hostel that night. I know the cheapest options for travel, ways to enjoy and embrace local culture without spending exorbitant amounts of money, such as watching a flamenco show in someone's backyard rather than going to a staged production in a theatre. I also have a keen appreciation of culture and landscape, going on multiple hikes during my gap year and stopping in villages to talk, meet and eat with other travellers and observe the culture and traditions of the region or country.
I believe I can deliver the highest standard of writing for your travel blog - passionate, flavourful, original, and based on real and recent experiences. Please contact me for further details via mobile 0435526221.
