I have a linux (ubuntu 14.04) system which is running avahi-daemon for providing mDNS service. E.g. if the hostname of the linux box is “zz”, when the client issues a request like “ping [login to view URL]” from the terminal, the mDNS would resolve the name [login to view URL] to its IP address. I am unable to resolve the host “[login to view URL]” in android system. I need multicast DNS listener for android , which will be able to use mDNS properly. Android is not able to find broadcast network by name. I have to enter IP Address of the network. I want Android to find the network by name and connect to it.
Requirements:
Implement Search and Connect with mDNS [login to view URL] native Android code.
Make native plugin and interface with c# for Unity3D.
Or provide working mDNS code in c# (Unity3D) for Android.
Test for Android.
Please note that the code delivered from your side should run natively on both iOS and Android and then and then only the project will be considered complete.
