I have an android proto-app where gps is used in order to draw polylines of the path of the user on google maps. until this point it is working fine, however I need to add the following functionalities to the prototype. 1 - Continue to collect gps data even when the app is background and when the app gets back to foreground, add the missing polyline points(the points collected while in background) 2 - Use the ActivityRecognition API(Both in foreground and background) in order to recognize the activity of the user while using the app and display it to the user.
