Senior Mercurial Merge Master. We are working in a LAMP environment.

You will strictly adhere to our deadlines & to the delivery dates you provide. You are able to self-supervise. You can produce results quickly. You are at a level that you don’t need continuous hand holding. You will have excellent English & communication ability. You are innovative & know how to solve problems. You are able to do the analysis & design. You can work independently but in collaboration with us.

You understand project management & you will provide daily updates on progress without exception. When you provide a date to start the work we expect that you will be available to us FULL TIME & that there will be no holidays, family issues or any other events that will delay the progress of the project. If weekend work is required to meet a deadline then it is expected that the weekend will be worked. This is a one time commitment for this one time project. If a weekend needs to be worked to fulfill your obligations then it is expected that you will meet agreed upon timelines

Mercurial is setup. We have sub Domains setup on the server each assigned to a developer to which developers will push their code revisions.

Developers will need instructions on when and how to push code. All developers have received a Mercurial introduction document. Credentials need to be assigned.

We need you to be available when we need you to train, answer questions and to merge the code. We want a basic Mercurial setup. We will only have about 6 developers working at one time but at times they will be adding features to the same code. The majority of the time developers will be working on separate modules. We need you to train a couple of people to be able to handle only our needs as a junior merge-masters.

Our initial urgent task is to get all the developers setup and working in their sub-domains. We would like you to be available to do the merging and train 2 of us in the process. We are in the middle of development and cannot have any prolonged delays. If you bid on this project then you will need to be available until we can handle Mercurial ourselves. We have senior developers with over 12 years experience. In the midst of this there cannot be any days when you are not available unless agreed upon in advance.

You must have excellent English communication ability and a friendly, patient, cooperative personality with no ego or attitude. You have to be able to explain how Mercurial works to the level we need for it to be useful to the fullest extend for our development project.

Hours will vary. Initially we will need more hours with a decline as we gain more experience.

Don’t ask us for details after being awarded the project. Get the details during the bidding period. We will not agree to change the amount you bid or the delivery date if the project is awarded to you. We are negotiable during the bidding & assessment period. You must be available to work once the project is awarded. We will not wait for more than 24 hours to accept the awarded project. When responding relate your skills & experience to our specific requirements, explain your understanding of our requirements and explain why you are the best person for this project. COMPETITIVE bids will be given greater consideration. A COMPETITIVE bid will get more work in the long run.
