A Windows software application that runs on a local computer. The application needs to scan PDF documents for particular words and phrases and extract those words into an XML file. The PDF documents will be construction specifications. The documents average 1000, 8.5x11"pages and are approximately 30MB in size. Documents are organized into sections with titles as well as numbered subsections. There are approximately 100 sections numbered with 5 or 6 digit numbers (for example, 33000 or 033000) and subsections within the main sections that would be numbered and may contain decimals, such as 1.3. The application must be programmed in VB.net. Examples of these specifications are attached as Appendix A to this document electronically.
