We have a table of financial data hosting time series of stock prices. The table is currently in an Excel sheet the size of which (20Mo) makes it difficult to manipulate.
Task1- Select a relevant data base tool to host this table considering the following :
- Free / open source tool,
- That can be easily interrogated from Excel
- That could also be used later-on to power a web based tool
- Reasonnably user friendly
Deliverable : a one page doc describing the tool and justifying it's appropriateness in light of the above requirements ;
Task 2- Provide help to set up the database and include the table in it.
Deliverable : Userguide (i) to install the database on local machine (ii) to created data table in the data base
Task 3- Build an Excel quiery (called from a function or from the tool bar) to retrieve data from the DB into Excel.
The budget for this is 80$ broken down into 3 milestones :
Task 1 : 20$
Task 2 : 20$
Task 3 : 40$
