Troubleshooting change to ssl login in python

A python script we use to log into an Exchange Online email account suddenly stopped working on Jan 18th with the message '-ERR Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password.'
However, we know the login is correct because we can still use it to login via a web browser.
We need someone who is savvy with python and SSL and Exchange Online / Microsoft email to help us with troubleshooting our script so the login works again.
Project also includes creating a second login method using graphQL as we may end up using graphQL to login in the future.
