Google+ to Wordpress Tool is a Python based tool which takes data out of Google+ and imports it into a Wordpress blog. This allows you to have a copy of your Google+ data that people who are not using Google+ can view.
The tool already handles updating changed posts and only posting the new posts. The tool tries to format each post in a nicest way possible; for example
* when sharing a WebPage it uses Embedly to grab a screenshot and website description
* when sharing a single photo or video is makes it look nice
* when the post has location information a google map is embedded in the post
The project uses:
* python-wordpress-xmlrpc
* python-oembed
* google-api-python-client
* html2text / nltk

The following things need to be done;
* Finish the post import feature
* Make the default templates beautiful, the following post types must each have a great template (see how Google+ displays the following types of posts);
* gallery - List of photos+videos.
* web page - Link to a webpage.
* photo - Post of a single photo.
* video - Post of a single video.
* post - Mainly text based post.
* Finish the comment import feature, all comments should be imported as WordPress comments. Each user's "Avatar" should be displayed instead of blank gravatar.
* Import published media, all images/posts/videos should be downloaded and cached on the WordPress blog. This also includes avatars.
* Finish creating a comprehensive test suite.
* Package the application up as a WordPress Plugin.
It is okay to extend WordPress to support the features needed for doing the import - for example adding filters like the following are okay;
