Word to XML/DITA conversion

I have a Word (.docx) document of technical reference material, consisting of a few hundred entries in a structured format, utilizing Word styles to define the structure. This needs to be converted to XML, using DITA tags.

Deliverable:

It's not necessary that you perform an entire conversion on the document. I'm more interested in your helping me get jump-started on the programming and tools involved. That is, give me a program/setup that can be demonstrated to work on a few of the reference entries, and I'll take it from there.

If you are familiar with the Word-to-DITA (Word2DITA) transformation framework ([url removed, login to view]), this may be a very straightforward process for you. Also, I have access to the oXygen XML editor, which also apparently has a tool for this (see [url removed, login to view]). I'm also open to having a simple Python, Perl, or what-have-you script written for the conversion.

I have attached a sample of the source document, "[url removed, login to view]". It consists of three entries of the reference document, all with the same essential structure. The attached file "[url removed, login to view]" represents the target output for the first of these three commands (also known as "actions"), "click table cell". I'll need the conversion process to create a separate file for each of the entries in the source document.
