I have been a qualified Mechanical Engineer since 2009. Not the longest I know, however I never did the usual graduate scheme when I finished and I took on a role straight away in the Aerospace Industry. On a daily basis I make decisions on material selection for large Aerospace projects. I have knowledge of heat treatments, metallics, corrosion, stress analysis and design principles. I work on a daily basis with writing test plans and reports for structural components of critical aircraft structures. I am also heavily involved with troubleshooting of manufacturing processes, material issues and setting up/ troubleshooting manufacturing processes. I am very competent on a computer and can work numerous engineering programs to an intermediate level. Solidworks, Catia, Abaqus, AutoCAD and MathCAD to name a few.
