==> I design the architecture for, oversee and take part in the
development and implementation of, and manage the release of
Internet applications used by millions of users daily using a
myriad of technologies such as Java, Transact SQL, XML, and JSP.
==> I led the team that designed, developed, and implemented a custom
content management system that increased content production ten
fold and allowed for the deployment of content to the web site on
demand. Saved the company over $400,000 against the proposed
off the shelf solution.
==> I led the team that upgraded the web site from ATG 5.1 to ATG 7.1.
This upgrade included reducing our hardware / software costs by
~ $100k per year, upgrade from JSDK 1.3 to JSDK 1.4, upgrade from
Oracle 8i to Oracle 9i, a myriad of performance enhancements, and a
complete overhaul of our content delivery framework. Delivered the
upgrade ahead of schedule with an overall performance increase of ~150%.
==> I designed, developed, and implemented a custom fraud protection
framework that utilized advanced heuristics based on fully
configurable business rules. Saved the company ~ $30,000 a year in
costs associated with credit card fraud. Worked with FBI in an
investigation of a global online fraud ring.
==> I integrated Eclipse open source IDE into our development work flow
allowing for a uniform code authoring scheme, rapid application
development, and a unified build process.
==> I led the team responsible for migrating the content delivery portion of
the site from Windows / IIS /SQL Server based technologies (Classic
ASP, COM, Visual Basic) to a ATG / Java / Unix, Oracle based
platform (J2SE, J2EE, JHTML / JSP, PLSQL). Finished the project
ahead of schedule and under budget despite serious drawbacks.
