Small business server 2003 std R2 issue

I just got dell server with small business 2003 standard R2…. And I am using this server as workgroup. But now it gives me the message in event viewer “sbcore” event id 1013…. I been reading it say that I have to use this sbs 2003 as domain controller… if any body have any solution for me use this sbs as workgroup and make my one drive sheared with my 10 computer .. … so I can use the sbs 2003 as workgroup .. this is the main thing I want to do .and If u can help me setup ftp on this server but that not important .......
