The following narrative will have to displayed in a 40-50 seconds video (including text): a journalist troubled by the murder of her grandparents during the Second World War interviews in Berlin a former military chaplain who refuses to make amends for what she believed were his previous National-Socialist insidious loyalties. Instead, he tells the journalist his war story, as well as that of two of his friends - a fanatic SS officer obsessed with the Thousand Year Reich and a Prussian aristocrat running away from the prospect of an arranged marriage. The novel is the tale of difficult moral choices made by three men, first as employees of a mysterious German import-export firm in Morocco, then as military observers in Finland and finally as combatants in France, Yugoslavia and the Eastern Front.
