Upgrade Wordpress theme to latest version of theme

I need to upgrade my "Enfold" theme to the latest version.
The current implementation used a child theme that may have some hard coded css and possibly php changes.
We need to find those changes. That's where the shell-scripting skill may come in handy. We then need to implement them into new theme version using Wordpress best practices for making customizations to themes. The css changes should be in the theme customize options section instead of hard-coded. We then need to decide best way of handling hard coded programming changes.
once implemented the site needs to be QA'd
