Looking for a contractor to help me come up with a formula to calculate product selling price with four variables and two answers.
TOTAL PRODUCT COST: To include buying price and other incidentals to make the product ready e.g packaging.
COMPETITION INDEX: An index ( 1-10) on how competitive the specific field e.g, consumer electronics field is very competitive so profit margins are minimal while medical supplies have better margins.
WARRANTY: If a product has warranty it bears more risk of return so should be considered when pricing. Duration of Warranty should also be put into consideration e.g 3 Months, 6 Months, 1 year, 2 Years.
TERMS OF PAYMENT: This determines the Offer price and the Cash price.
There should be an offer price that can be paid with Credit Cards, Debit Cards, Paypal as there's a processing fee. There should also be a cash price for cash payment which is discounted as there's no processing fee.
