I'm starting a YouTube channel about home theater and stereo. It will be called AV Woofer . I need a logo that I can use with the channel. I'm looking for something that is one dimensional... I'd like two versions: one with a name under it and one with logo alone. It needs to have a blank background so I can use with an animator website (such as [login to view URL]) to make an animated intro for videos. But it also needs to be easily scalable so it can be used as a logo on a business card OR blown up and put on a T-shirt.
Not sure about color. Something that is simple and plain is fine. Straight black and white might do the trick?
I'd like to logo to represent a play on words... "woofer" refers to a speaker driver... but if you say it the right way it almost comes out as "wolf". And the howling wolf comes across as something that is calling out or broadcasting information.
I'd like to have the logo be dominated by a wolf head (but maybe a whole body howling wolf?). I've included a free clip art image of a howling wolf that I think is neat... but also a couple of other images from another site that have a cool edginess/stylized look. I'm hoping for something that has some confidence and edginess to it... definitely can be masculine. If there's a really unique way to incorporate A, V, and W into the design (perhaps a forward facing head) that might be interesting. But I like the howling wolf because it projects that wolf has something to say.
As for some kind of home theater or stereo element... that doesn't necessarily need to dominate or be included at all. If it is, I'd like it to be very subtle. One idea would be making the outline of the moon a stereo plug/cord that wraps around the wolf? Not sure...
