International Trade deal
Hi, I am engaged in an International Trade deal (Seller) of a commodity, destination port in AFRICA.
Since its the fist time i deal with the Buyer, Trust is not built yet. As such, the funds shall be released through an LC, CIF, EXWORKS, 110% insured, with 2% Performance Bond issued from Seller, SGS inspection certifcaiet at the port of loading. My original request to release LC at bill of lading time.
However, the Buyer request, the Fund to be released after the Inspection Authority in that country to give the go ahead. Which I am fine with, subject that, the buyer issue a 200% BG of the value at the time the contract signed and once the inspection is done they release only the amount of the shipment, but the buyer refused.
What other financial instrument exists that will make this deal a win win situation with all guarantees in place?
