  If a logo is proposed, there is no colour limitation but a flat version B/W shall be possible and there is a possibility to use light and dark background. Tips: I like minimalistic design logo and I like typography very much.

     Some proposals are only one word for the name, some give a slogan with the name and some propose a graphic logo with the name and optionally a slogan, and with or without the justification of the choices. Sure when it's only one word, the word shall be really attracting to catch the attention. If I read a good slogan with a regular name, I retain the proposal to wait a better name. And that's the same for a logo. If there is some tremendous graphical idea, I also may retain the proposal because of it. But no, today the choice of the name is not stopped and the names actually at the top of the poll are maybe not all proposed by experts. Hours after hours, we know better what we want and we restrain the choice adding clarifications here.

  after some days of reviews, my partner and I are selecting better the original ideas that sound good than some merge of words (mostly based on space) that might be weird sometimes. Even if the contest is still open for 2 weeks, we should choose the name no later than November 22

     It might be, depending on what I would get at the end. And anyway, it will not be the end since I will need a total brand identity. It might be open or not depending if I already got a good start (or not).

  Even if we are a small company, we provide services to governmental and institutional organisations. The tone of the slogan shall consider this kind of client. So originality and professionalism, yes, but simple "commercial" message like "we are the best", no.

     Don't worry, I review carefully all the entries. There are clarifications here to understand better the need. After few days, you need to provide accurate names and slogans to get stars. Originality and correctness are evaluated as good proposals.

  About the name, some proposals are a concatenation of several words. Most of the time, it doesn't work. It leads to long name.... too long. At least, it should be a merge, but sometimes the resulting name is not easy to pronounce. Originality should prevail. Maybe it is not straightly associated to our domain, but refers to a play of words.

     It's an open question... Sure it's short. The former company got a catchy name but without meaning, so the tagline was explicit: Space Consulting & Engineering. Other example is the tagline of EUMETSAT... It corresponds to their task: Monitoring Weather and Climate from Space. or of CNRS (public research institute): Advancing the frontiers. In the proposals, I got only two taglines that caught my attention, none are perfect but they are interesting. We are working in an international environment, and the tagline shall be professional. But we promote breakthrough ideas so the tagline can also get some originality.

  the objective is to get some catchy and short name. It might be a misspelling same as Google or Wizz, a derivative, a concatenation of two words. some name proposals are really too long. My actual company is called Metis. There is no special meaning... or many if you consider the whole word (the God name), Met__ for meteorology, I for ingéniérie, S for spatial,...

  About the domain name.... if .com is already used but if one other major extension as .eu or other is free, it's still fine. The important checking is that there is no other company with the same name doing the same job.
