We are building a new application and are looking for some help designing a logo.

The concept: We are building a application that is a geo-location messaging app. The main idea is that if you are at a location and find something you think a friend would like you could leave a geo tagged message for them so that next time your friend is at that location he/she will have a message pop up on their phone.

Example: If you are at a restaurant and you know your friend loves a certain type of beer. You find a amazing beer, you can then drop a message for them so next time they are at that restaurant they will have your message pop up in their phone saying to try that beer.

Users have the option of making their message hidden (so the recipient does not know about it until next time they are there) or visible so it encourages users to goto that location.

Logo Ideas: We like the idea of having a animal mascot as part of the logo. However, we are open to all designs.

Name of the app: Word on the Street

Requirements: need to be something that could be used both on a mobile app, and web application. A mobile app logo would be a plus, but not required.

ADDITIONAL INFO: We really like the reddit logo, and having some sort of a character as part of the logo (eg: reddit has a alien). We briefly talked about a flying squirrel, but are by no means committed to that character. This is a brand new app and this is the first design, so we have not chosen a colors or anything, so please feel free to design openly.
