Read complete requirement carefully. These are only guidelines but not rules, so you can create you own design to serve the purpose.

We need a logo designed for our new portal and smartphone app. We prefer clean & neat design (fancy colors, and shapes are not expected). This app is for advocates(lawyers). So you can use legal & technology elements in the design. If you have other thoughts, most welcome!
Requirements:
-Target audience: Age 28-45 years.
-Demography: India
-Colors: We are expecting a 1 color logo, probably blue & grey. (you can use different colors or go for multi-color)
-Clean design which appeals mid-aged professionals
-The design may include elements like progress (use of arrows, vectors, shapes etc can be experimented)
-A sign/symbol which depicts lawyers/legal system/court can also be used only if it is not affecting simplicity of the logo and clearly communicating with the right audience.
-This app is a common platform between advocate and his client
